Description

Stunning wood carving of three (3) dolphins jumping in and out of the waves! Cut from ONE piece of wood and finished with a protective layer of varnish, the figurine / statue is signed on the bottom "M. A. West 08." The dolphins are very skillfully and pleasingly done. Each dolphin is smooth and features such pretty grain. The base is retains the original bark from the log it was carved from. Each dolphin presumably was carved from a different branch of the tree. Amazing skill! It is pretty big -- base is smaller than the actual width. The base measures 6.25 by about 5.5 inches. Each dolphin is a different height -- 10, 9, 4.75 inches.
