Description
This vintage sculpture by CURTIS JERE depicts a young boy riding three dolphins, crafted from bronze, brass, and quartz materials using metalwork production techniques. The 3D style and medium size make it a unique addition to any art collection. The sculpture is an original piece, produced in 1970, and is perfect for anyone who appreciates the theme of boy riding dolphins. The sculpture measures approximately 12" from front to back, 5" from side to side and 10 1/4" from the base to the tip of the boys hand. The boy is made of bronze and the 3 dolphins are brass. The boy and dolphins are attached to a very heavy quartz stone and there is a metal work that looks like sea grass (this was glued to the quartz but has become detached - see last picture) with small sea life attached (2 lobsters and 1 swimming turtle). The bronze boy and brass dolphins aren dusty and have a patina that has not been polished. I'm leaving that to the buyer. The sculpture shipping weight is based on 20 lbs. (weight plus the wrapping to ensure it arrives safely). Please ask questions prior to bidding and thanks for looking.
